BBCC`s main objective is sharing the richness of perspectives and multiplying the sound of the Colombian literature in worldwide.This project includes the branding and the cover design of 25 books 2016 and 2017 we continued the process with 40 and 40 titles each year, finishing this year with the last 15 titles, all edited and published by the Biblioteca Nacional. Madrid, for the final dissertation, I researched about queer theory in Judith Butler work, and hate speech. The project took place in one of the most touristic areas of Bogotá: in Calle 11, in the city center, a street that has been a witness to Colombia’s history, surrounded by museums and cultural institutions. Due to the very little contact that students had with the product, in 2015 the institution decided to re-design the editorial and visual concept. This was the first time I participated in a periodical, that I dealt with deadlines and short time for the graphic development of a project. A cabinet with multiple doors, above and bellow, in the front and also in the back. Not a wood one, a plastic cabinet, a fabric one, a cabinet made of glass, of paper, of sequin. And then, imagine that this cabinet felt apart, into thousands of anonymous pieces and unshaped forms, like the most convoluted puzzle. I am the one pasting all together, but not in a rational way but unfollowing rules, challenging structures; however, my task is to create brand new narratives from this bunch of words, sounds and Ectoplasm or a series of family portraits Ectoplasm is a term used in spiritualism to denote a substance or spiritual energy "exteriorized" by physical mediums. Inspired by old (fake) pictures of ectoplasmic experiences, this project proposes a fictional narrative about ghosts and paranormal activities but also family relations and visual metaphors. This one is the oldest project and the only one from my bachelorette degree in Communication studies. Exhibited ten years ago in Bogotá, Colombia, I included it in my portfolio as a record or evolution of my practice and visual interests. That's not true, I said. Yes, it is, and they die happy and inside their cocoons without flying and just with the larva memories. My mom used to tell that kind of story, without morals or punchlines.
